Calvin and Courtney had thought they’d known each other since high school. But after dating they discovered they go all the way back to elementary, after discovering a video of a cross country meet where they both were. Calvin actually crossed the finish line right before Courtney!
In college, they were officially introduced. Courtney’s college roommate had a birthday party with the two of them there. They both got along so well that they shared their first kiss in front of the dorms on the third bench…and have been inseparable ever since.
the romantic proposal at Disneyland!
On December 2, 2010, Calvin decided that he wanted Courtney to be the love of his life forever and proposed at her favorite place, Disneyland. Calvin set up a scavenger hunt based on their many trips to Disneyland. They ended up at their favorite ride, Toy Story Mania, where he got down on one knee with a custom-made Toy Story 3 ring box and a gorgeous ring shaped like Mickey Mouse!
the wedding day
We confess this was one of our most favorite weddings yet.
Partly, as Disneyland premium passholders, we confess we had always wanted to have our wedding at Disneyland…
and also, because Courtney and Calvin are just such wonderful genuinely good-hearted people and we’ve been so amazed at how loved and lovable they really are.
So as we got ready to meet Courtney that day, we were super excited and knew the day was going to be wonderful.
But, it was more than that, it was freakin’ awesome.
The beautiful day began at the fabulous Mickey Mouse Penthouse Suite at Disneyland Hotel!
The penthouse was amazing and decked out with Walt Disney art and decor

The ceremony was held at the lovely Parkview Terrace at the Grand Californian Hotel
Their vows brought tears to everyone’s eyes…so emotional and beautiful.
The most amazing ceremony exit – the crowd cheering with purple confetti sparkling throughout the night air!
We had so much fun playing with the couple at Disneyland’s California Adventure. We had the park all to ourselves for these romantic moments!
